The Lake was exceptionally smooth this morning.

Neveria
I often drive by this neveria (ice cream parlor) and thought it deserved a spot in my blog. The interior is just as colorful as the outside.
Van Horn, TX
Stopped at a huge truck stop in Van Horn after almost 11 hours of driving for a 10 hour break. The next day I was only about 60 miles from the California border.
Van Horn TX Showers
I was on my way from Longview to Los Angeles when I ran into a line of intermittent showers from Pecos to El Paso. It was great.
Devil’s Tower, Wyoming
Holly and I were on our way to Sturgis when we stopped to take this picture. I believe this was in 1998 and Holly was on her first Harley – a Sportster.
Fall in East Texas
As you can see, we don’t get much fall here in East Texas
Lake View
Star Clipper
This is the tall ship that Holly and I will spend a week on in the near future. I’m not sure, but it looks like fun to me.
Texas Canyon Rocks
Texas Canyon is actually on I-10 near Benson AZ. Notice how carefully and delicately all those rocks were piled up like that.
Mont Belvieu, Texas
This photo was taken by my truck driving friend John Rodgers at a truck stop in Mont Belvieu, Texas, on the outskirts of east Houston. The stacks you see are parts of a large LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) plants at the intersection of I-10 and Hwy 142. This area probably produces more natural gas than any place in the US. I’ve stayed at this truck stop and several others nearby many times. Great photo john.
